Is qNurse from my union or my employer?
No. qNurse is an independent app. It is not affiliated with the BC Nurses’ Union, the Nurses’ Bargaining Association, HEABC, any health authority or any employer.
Which agreement does it use?
The Nurses’ Bargaining Association Provincial Collective Agreement, 2022 to 2025, and its wage grids. Every figure shows the article it came from.
Does it replace my paystub?
No. Your paystub and your employer’s records are the authority. qNurse gives you a clause-by-clause estimate to check them against, and tells you plainly when something could not be assessed.
What about patient information?
There is nowhere in qNurse to record a patient, and there never will be. Your private shift notes stay on your phone, and are checked for anything that looks like patient information before they save.
Do I need signal on the unit?
No. qNurse works offline and backs up to your account when you are connected again.
What if I am part-time or casual?
qNurse handles regular full-time, regular part-time, casual and temporary positions, and the rules that differ between them.
